What Ma’at Represents

Ma’at was both the goddess and the personification of truth and justice. Her ostrich feather represents truth. Maat or Ma’at was the ancient Egyptian concept of truth, balance, order, harmony, law, morality, and justice.

Ma’at is also referred to as the mistress of the underworld, the Lady of Heaven, and the Queen of Earth. She symbolizes the point of balance upon which the entire universe is poised.
