Meditation – Plan and Practice

I have long known the benefits of meditation, and throughout the years I’ve attempted to establish a daily meditation practice. I have always found it difficult.

As I work with the goddess Ma’at and move toward my initiation into the mysteries, I know it is more important than ever that I overcome my challenges and spend time in meditation each day.

I began this morning and will devote a small amount of time each day to meditation. That is the first step in my plan. The second step is that I will use my meditation time to focus my thoughts upon a singular concept, going along with the “daily prompt” found online here.

The need for a particular focal point was impressed upon me during my short meditation today. This, I hope, will help me avoid distractions and the usual mind-wandering I typically experience as I try to settle into a meditative state.
